This characteristic is one of the reasons libraries are frequently considered potentially haunted locations. One also needs to consider the land that the library is built upon. Paranormal activity is often tied to the land and not the particular structure. If there has been paranormal activity within buildings that have been razed and a new building is built in that location, the activity may continue in the new structure.
