There are instances when people feel that bed and breakfasts, which are typically attractive old properties, are haunted because of their historical context. Most often, bed and breakfasts are buildings with a rich and illustrious history, often dating back hundreds of years. After major events like deaths, disasters, or violent crimes, some buildings may acquire the reputation of being haunted within the community. Unlike hotels, bed & breakfasts often evoke uneasy feelings, as you are staying in someone's home or a museum.
