Libraries are typically old buildings with a rich history; they are filled with stories and knowledge contained within books, which could attract lingering spirits who may want to continue learning or experiencing the stories even after death. Additionally, the quiet and secluded nature of a library can contribute to a heightened sense of the paranormal. This characteristic is one of the reasons libraries are frequently considered potentially haunted locations. One also needs to consider the land that the library is built upon. Paranormal activity is often tied to the land and not the particular structure. If there has been paranormal activity within buildings that have been razed and a new building is built in that location, the activity may continue in the new structure.
Many people believe that theaters are haunted. This is because of the drama that happens there, the darkness of the space, and the possibility of strong emotional experiences. These factors lead to the idea that the spirits of former actors, patrons, or staff might linger in the place where they spent a lot of time in life, especially if they died tragically or had a deep connection to the theater.
