First erected in 1852, the church was in shambles after the Civil War with the inside completely gutted. Parishioners rebuilt the structure in 1882 and was sold in 1895 because of poor membership in the congregation. All that remains now is the four walls. The National Park Service performed restoration services in 2005 to secure the remaining structure.
