Air Ion Theory

Definition: A theory that describes how electrical ions may change when a ghost or spirit is present.

Definition - Ion: An atom, group of atoms, or molecule that has acquired or is regarded as having acquired a net electric charge by gaining electrons in or losing electrons from an initially electrically neutral configuration. (The American Heritage Dictionary)

Many scientists have done studies of positive and negative ions. They have discovered that negative ions have a positive affect on humans and positive ions have a negative affect on humans. Some of the side affects caused by a high positive ion count are as follows: Violent behavior, road rage, depression, dizziness, chills, tremors, sleeplessness, fatigue, irritability, nausea, lethargy, respiratory symptoms, headaches/migraines, increase in heart attacks, high blood pressure, increase in optical disturbances, anxiety, body pains/aches etc.

Theory #1

In theory if there is a ghost present, it may have an effect on the ions in the air, by disrupting the natural or manmade ion counts in the air.

Theory #2

In theory when a ghost tries to manifest it needs to take in some form of energy. By drawing either positive or negative ions out of the air the ghost may be able to manifest.

An ion meter can be used to detect the air ion count. As with any other meters, base readings should be taken before an investigation.
