This photo was taken on July 15, 1863 when photographer Mathew Brady stopped to take several photographs of John Burns and his wounds. In this picture you can see Burns and his wife standing in front of the doorway and there are two men on the side steps. One of the men is Mathew Brady and you can see his portable dark room behind the Burn's well.
