There were many rich and famous who have lived in the Dakota apartment complex in New York City. This is the location where John Lennon was killed as he was walking into the building. John Lennon himself reported seeing the spirit of a woman in white walking through the halls and Yoko Ono reported seeing the spirit of John Lennon sitting at his piano after his death.

Crying lady ghost
Lennon said he repeatedly met a ghost he called the crying lady ghost, who was believed to be in the hallways of the Dakota building.
UFO
Lennon claimed to have seen a UFO from one of the windows of his apartment in the Dakota building.
Many people claim to have seen Lennon's ghost after his death, including:
A woman who claimed Lennon spoke with her: She said he said, “Do not be afraid. I am still here with you”.
Yoko Ono: Ono claims to have seen John sitting in his white piano and that on occasion he said “don't be afraid. I am still with you”.
Musician Joey Harrow: Harrow claims to have seen John's Ghost at the entrance to the Dakota building.
Amanda Moore: Moore was with Joey at the time and also saw Lennon's Ghost.
The Dakota building is said to be haunted by many ghosts, including Lennon's. Other residents report hearing tiny footsteps and odd noises at strange times in their apartments, and seeing objects moving around.
