We found the following information that refers to a possible curse placed by the Seminole Indians about the everglades. We don't know if this is true and could not find anymore information to back this claim up; however, did find it to be quite interesting.
"Right after 592 crashed, I was standing in a check out line and noticed one of those 'Enquirer' type tabloids with a headline talking about how 592's crash site, 401's crash site, and a site where about 190 Seminole Indians were massacred formed a perfect triangle. According to the legend, when the Seminoles were killed a curse was put on the land that within a certain amount of time (I forget how long it was), the Everglades would claim the exact same amount of people that were in the Seminole tribe. I am ashamed to say I bought it (I was bored and had a long drive ahead), and even though I don't believe it myself, it made for an interesting read. It even had a detailed map showing the coordinates. It did form an eerie triangle. Anyway I think I still have it so I will dig it out. Tell you what, when I find it I will mail it to you. I have seen the 401 crash site and it is all grown up now with saw grass. You cannot tell anything happened."
